The effect of low intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy on overactivity bladder symptoms
“In the present study, [Low Intensity Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy] (LiESWT) improved bladder overactivity, decreased frequency and decreased urgency. LiESWT ameliorated bladder hyperactivity, improved OAB syndrome including urinary urgency, urinary frequency and nocturia, and promotes quality of life. Using LiESWT, a non-medical and noninvasive therapy without bothersome adverse effect, could serve as an important alternative treatment for OAB.”

Low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy ameliorates the overactive bladder: A prospective pilot study
“The data demonstrated that 8-week LiESWT ameliorated the OAB symptoms, promoted the uroflow parameters, and improved the quality of life (QoL) in OAB patients, suggesting that LiESWT might serve as an alternative noninvasive therapy for OAB.”
